UNICEF Career Guidance Courses Enrollment

The attention of all the District Educational Officers, Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha and Principals of Government DIETs, in the State are invited to the reference first cited, regarding the rollout of online Career Guidance courses for teachers in the English version on the DIKSHA platform. While teacher enrollment rates were between 58% and 76%, further, it is observed that between 55% to 68% of the enrolled teachers did not complete the course. In order to enhance participation and effectiveness, a Telugu version of the Career Guidance Certificate Course for teachers has now been developed with the support of UNICEF. The objective of this course is to up-skill teachers in providing effective career guidance to students, thereby developing a sound understanding of the different aspects of career guidance and helping them acquire the skills needed to become proficient career counselors. This initiative aims to empower teachers to guide their students in designing appropriate career paths. The course is hosted on the Andhra Pradesh DIKSHA LMS tenant, and all teachers are instructed to download the ‘DIKSHA COURSES’ application from the Google Play Store.
The Telugu Version of the Career Guidance Course for Teachers consists of 06 modules, as detailed below:

The course schedule is as follows:
- Start Date: 20th September 2025
- Enrolment End Date: 23rd March, 2026
- Course End Date: 23rd April, 2026
- Course completion window: No time limit – It is a voluntary and as per convenience of the teacher.
- Instructional Hours: 18 hours
The target group for this course includes all School Assistants, CRTs, TGTs, PGTs, Headmasters of Government Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools, District Career and Mental Health Counsellors, PMU career and mental health Counsellor Coordinators. Additionally, Secondary Grade Teachers are also permitted to enroll on a voluntary basis. Certificates will be issued automatically on the DIKSHA platform to those teachers who complete one hundred percent of the course and secure a minimum of seventy percent marks in the final assessments, with a provision of three attempts.
Further, for the academic coordination of this course, Mr. B.v. Ramakrishna from SCERT and Mrs. B. Priyanka, Consultant Education from UNICEF APSS, have been nominated. The DIKSHA State Coordinator, APSS, will serve as the Technical Coordinator. The online orientation programme is scheduled on 18th September, 2025 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, through YouTube Live Streaming, covering the new DIKSHA LMS, enrolment process, login using LEAP credentials, and technical aspects of course completion.
