Swachh Andhra day (SASA) August 2025 Theme Activities

SASA theme for the month of August-2025: Monsoon Hygiene
Approach:

1. Citizens to keep their houses/surroundings clean and avoiding water logging.
2. Cities focusing on preventive cleanliness. Drain cleaning, pothole maintenance & sanitation in public places to be focused.

Strategies for Disease Prevention: Six Mantras for a safe & healthy monsoon

1. Clean Public Spaces: Ensuring efficient waste management
2. Clean Drains: Preventing clogging and disease spread
3. Clean Hands: Promoting hygiene and washing practices
4. Clean Homes: Educating on cleanliness to prevent diseases
5. Clean toilets: Maintaining cleanliness in public toilets
6. Clean neighborhood: Encouraging community environment in cleanliness

Key Outcomes:

• Reduced flooding due to chocking.
• Less vulnerable to vector-borne & communicable diseases.

Suggestive Activities

• Special sanitation and drain clean-up drives in storm water drains, nallahs, and waterlogged areas.
• Fogging operations and source reduction activities to prevent mosquito breeding.
• Cleaning of Community and Public Toilets (CTS/PTs) and ensuring water and hand-washing facilities.
• Door-to-door awareness drives on preventing water-borne and vector-borne diseases.
• Water quality testing and safe drinking water arrangements.
• Identification and cleaning of Garbage Vulnerable Points (GVPs).
• Organize school and community hand-washing campaigns.
• Formation of special Task Forces for regular monitoring and action.
• Coordinate with Health, School Education, Rural Development, and Drinking Water departments.
• Engage NGOs, SHGs, RWAs and volunteers for community outreach.
• Use digital and print media, posters, and public address systems for awareness drives.

Campaign Activities & Outcomes

All the ground level teams to report the following activities on the SASA Mobile app.

1. Clean Hands: No. of school children engaged in handwashing drives
2. Clean Homes: No. of people engaged through door-to-door awareness drives
3. Clean Neighborhoods: No. of general cleanliness drives conducted
4. Clean Toilets: No. of CTs/PTs thoroughly cleaned, equipped with water supply & handwashing facilities
5. Clean Drains & Water Bodies: Length/ Nos. of drains/water bodies cleaned/maintained
6. Clean Public Spaces: No. of advocacy drives conducted in high footfall/ high risk & highly vulnerable areas

నేను, నా పరిసరాల పరిశుభ్రత కొరకు ప్రతి రోజు కొంత సమయం కేటాయిస్తానని, నా వంతు కృషిగా స్వచ్ఛత కార్యక్రమాల కొరకు శ్రమదానం చేసి పరిశుభ్ర ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ సాధించే సంకల్పానికి కట్టుబడి ఉంటానని, ఈ రోజు పరిశుభ్రత గురించి నేను వేసిన ఈ ముందడుగు ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్రాన్ని శుభ్రపరచడంలో సహాయం చేస్తుందని నమ్ముతూ, ఈరోజు నుండి నా తోటి వారికి కూడా “వర్షాకాలంలో కలిగే అనారోగ్య సమస్యలు, తగు జాగ్రత్తల” పై అవగాహన కల్పించే దిశగా ప్రయత్నిస్తానని, మన ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ను స్వచ్ఛ ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ గా తీర్చిదిద్దేటట్లు నా వంతు కృషి చేస్తానని ప్రమాణం చేస్తున్నాను.
