SASA Theme for the month of November-2025: PERSONAL & COMMUNITY HYGIENE

Sub:M.A. & U.D. Dept., – Swarna Andhra Swachh Andhra (SASA) – Theme for the month of NOVEMBER 2025 – “PERSONAL & COMMUNITY HYGIENE” – Implementation of Activities – Certain Instructions Issued – Reg.

Suggested Activities:

• Conduct WASH (Water Sanitation & Hygiene) programs at educational institutions, schools, and public offices to promote awareness on personal hygiene.
• Campaign to prevent open urination and defecation in communities and public areas.
• Ensure clean and functional gender-segregated and specially challenged accessible public toilets.
• Conduct awareness drives on menstrual hygiene management and safe sanitation practices.
• Organize cleanliness drives around Community toilets, Anganwadi centers, and Healthcare facilities.
• Ground and inaugurate new Community/Public Toilets (CT/PTs) across ULBs and Community Sanitary Complexes in GPs to expand sanitation coverage.
• Take up maintenance and renovation drives for existing public toilets to ensure 24×7 functionality with water, lighting, and cleaning support.
• Identify and transform toilets at Tourist places, Markets, Bus stands, and High-footfall areas into ‘Aspirational Toilets’ with improved aesthetics, user amenities, and accessibility.
• Coordinate with NHAI and State Highways departments to ensure availability and upkeep of public toilets at regular intervals along National and State Highways.
• Engage SHGs, NGOs, RWAs, NSS volunteers, and youth groups for awareness and operation and maintenance of public toilets under sustainable models.
• Use public address systems, posters, and digital media for effective communication.
• Organize mass awareness campaigns and competitions on the importance of safe sanitation, toilet usage, and hygiene behavior as part of World Toilet Day (19th November 2025) observance.
• Share photographs, reels, and reports on the SASA platform using relevant hashtags.

Implementation & Reporting Guidelines:

• Ensure participation of all District and Zonal Special Officers.
• Assign the Chief Planning Officer (CPO) as District Nodal Officer for monitoring and reporting through the SASA App.
• Encourage inter-departmental coordination for effective execution.
• Involve Elected Representatives, Educational Institutions, and Civic Organizations.
• Submit documentation and success stories via photos/videos on SASA platform.

నేను, నా పరిసరాల పరిశుభ్రత కొరకు ప్రతి రోజు కొంత సమయం కేటాయిస్తానని, నా వంతు కృషిగా స్వచ్ఛత కార్యక్రమాల కొరకు శ్రమదానం చేసి పరిశుభ్ర ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ సాధించే సంకల్పానికి కట్టుబడి ఉంటానని, ఈ రోజు పరిశుభ్రత గురించి నేను వేసిన ఈ ముందడుగు ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్రాన్ని శుభ్రపరచడంలో సహాయం చేస్తుందని నమ్ముతూ, ఈరోజు నుండి నా తోటి వారికి కూడా “వర్షాకాలంలో కలిగే అనారోగ్య సమస్యలు, తగు జాగ్రత్తల” పై అవగాహన కల్పించే దిశగా ప్రయత్నిస్తానని, మన ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ను స్వచ్ఛ ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ గా తీర్చిదిద్దేటట్లు నా వంతు కృషి చేస్తానని ప్రమాణం చేస్తున్నాను.
