Guidelines For Time Table Preparation:

1.No Bag Saturdays: A Day of Knowledge & Entertainment

> Ensure that all Saturdays follow a “No Bag Day” concept.

> Engage students in hands-on learning experiences like experiments, role plays or project-based learning.

> Plan activities that blend learning with entertainment, such as:

  • Storytelling sessions
  • Debates, quizzes, and group discussions
  • Spell Bee/ Spoken English
  • Art, skit, music, and dance activities
  • Educational movies/documentaries
  • Field visits or guest lectures
  • Skill Test
2.Allotting Periods for Special Subjects (SAMAGRA Instructors)

> Coordinate with the instructors assigned to these subjects and adjust periods accordingly.

> Give priority to subjects assigned under SAMAGRA, ensuring dedicated time slots for:

  • Vocational Education – Skill-based training
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset Development Programme (EMDP) – Business & innovation concepts
  • Career Guidance – Counseling and future career awareness
  • Value Education – Moral and ethical development (As per the suggestions of the Brahmasri Chaganti Koteswara Rao sir)
  • Art and Culture, Physical Education instructors
  • Inclusive Education (IE) – Support for students with special needs (CwSN)
  • Mental and Health Counselors

3.Subject Periods as per Academic Calendar

  • In general, allocate periods based on the weightage provided in the academic calendar prescribed by the SCERT
  • Maintain a balanced distribution of core subjects, ensuring that no subject is overburdened or neglected.

4.Leisure Chart (Floating Schedule for Library & Games)

> This chart should be floating to ensure all students get equal opportunities.

> Headmasters must prepare a Leisure Chart with flexible time slots for:

  • Library Periods – At least one period per week for all classes to encourage reading habits.
  • Physical Education & Games – Ensure structured sports activities.
  • Creative & Recreational Activities – Art, music, and hobby-based sessions.

5.Additional Instructions

  • Maintain a balanced workload for students and teachers.
  • Keep short breaks between intense subjects to enhance concentration.
  • Encourage interactive learning methods rather than monotonous lectures.
  • Regularly review the timetable and adjust based on student engagement and effectiveness.
