Intelligence Bureau Asst. Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Recruitment Notification 2025

Online applications are Invited from Indian Nationals for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Central intelligence Officer, Grade IV Executive i.e., ACIO-4/Exe In IB, (Ministry of Home Affairs), Government of India. (Intelligence Bureau Asst. Central Intelligence Officer Recruitment)

Applicants are advised to go through all parameters under different paras and sub-paras mentioned below and satisfy themselves about their suitability in terms of age limit, essential qualifications, etc for the post of ACIO-11/Exe. before applying. Candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria of the posts, as mentioned below, may apply ONLINE through MHA’s website (www.mha.gov.in) or NCS portal (www.ncs.gov. In) only.

DESCRIPTION OF POST

Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Executive (ACIO-VEX) Pay scale:

Level 7 (Rs. 44,900-1,42,400) in the pay matrix plus admissible Central Govt. allowances.

Note:

1. Special Security Allowance @ 20% of basic pay in addition to other Govt. allowances.
2. Cash compensation in lieu of duty performed on holidays subject to a ceiling of 30 days.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation or equivalent from a recognized university.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of computers.

AGE LIMIT

18-27 years as on 10.08.2025.

• Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and by 3 years for OBC candidates.
• Upper age limit is relaxable for departmental candidates’ upto 40 years of age who have rendered 3 years of regular and continuous service.
• The age limit is relaxable up to age of 35 years for UR candidates, 38 years for OBC and up to 40 years for SC/ST in case of widows, divorced women and women Judicially separated from their husbands and not remarried.
• The age limit is relaxable for ex-servicemen as per the Govt. instructions in this regard issued by the Central Government from time to time.
• The age limit is relaxable up to maximum 5 years to the meritorious sportspersons specified in Para 1 (a) of DOP&AR O.M. No. 14015/1/76-Estt. (D), dtd 4.8.1980. The candidate claiming age relaxation in this category must have the desired certificate in the form & from the authority prescribed in OM under reference (As per the Annexure at the end of the detailed advertisement).

Note:

• The post of ACIO-II/Exe, being an operational post, is not reserved for any category of PwBD. Hence, they NEED NOT apply.
• The reservation of vacancies for EWS, OBC, SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen is as per rules/roster.
• The number of vacancies is provisional and liable to change.
• The eligibility of the candidates in terms of age, educational qualification, caste/category, etc. will be determined on the closing date. The candidate must possess essential qualification for the post i.e., Graduation or equivalent on the closing date i.e., 10.08.2025 (till 2359 hours) and he/she must have been declared successful in it.

SERVICE LIABILITY:

The post involves All India Service Llability. Therefore, the candidates willing to serve anywhere in India only need to apply.

Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Executive (ACIO-VEX) Scheme of Examination:

Note:

1. The cut-off marks (out of 100) in Tier-I exam would be UR-35, OBC-34, SC/ST-33 & EWS-35 (all Ex-Servicemen would be treated in their own category viz., UR/EWS/OBC/SC/ST).
2. On the basis of their performance & normalization of marks in Tier-I exam, candidates would be shortlisted for Tier-II @ 10 times the number of vacancies, subject to the condition that the candidate should have scored minimum cut-off in Tier-1.
3. On the basis of their combined performance in Tier-I and Tier-II, the candidates would be shortlisted for Tier-III/interview @ 5 times the number of vacancies subject to the condition that the candidate secures minimum 33% marks (17 out of 50) in Tier-II exam.
4. On the basis of combined performance in Tier-1, Tier-II arid Tier-III/Interview exam, final merit list for the post, will be prepared in accordance with the number of vacancies. A waiting list would also be prepared for providing replacement in future, which will be operative in terms of DoP&T OM No. 41019/18/97-Estt. (B) dated 13.06.2000.

CITY OF EXAMINATION:

Note:

1. While filling in the online application form, the applicant should carefully decide about his/her choice of City of Examination.
2. The candidate has to choose five (5) options/choices as Examination advertisement. City from the list provided in the detailed advertisement.
3. Examination City, once opted, will not be changed under any circumstances.
4. In case of over subscription/under subscription at a particular City, the candidates may be shifted to some other City.
5. Candidates could be accommodated in any one of the five Examination Cities opted by him/her for Tier-I examination.

How to apply for Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Executive (ACIO-VEX):

1. Applications should be submitted only through ONLINE registration by logging on to the website www.mha.gov.in or www.ncs.gov.in. Applications will NOT be accepted through any other mode.
2. The application portal will be operational from 19.07.2025 to 10.08.2025 (till 2359 hours). Registration done, prior to 19.07.2025 and after 10.08.2025, will not be accepted

EXAMINATION FEE:

The fee has 02 components i.e., Examination Fee: Rs. 100/- & Recruitment Processing Charges: Rs. 550/- which are required to be paid as under:

Note:

1. All SC/ST candidates, female candidates and those Ex-Servicemen who are eligible for reservation, are exempted from payment of examination fee i.e., Rs. 100/-. However, they will have to pay the Recruitment Processing Charges i.e. Rs. 550/-.
2. Ex-servicemen who have already secured employment in civil side under Central Govi in Group ‘C’ post on regular basis after availing benefits of reservation given to them are required to pay the examination fee, l.e., Rs. 100/-also along with recruitment processing charges of Rs. 550/-
3. Banking charges, if applicable, will be bome by the candidate.

MODE OF PAYMENT (ONLINE/ OFFLINE MODE):

1. The application form is integrated with the payment gateway & the payment process can be completed by the following instructions.
2. Payment can be made online via SBI EPAY LITE through Debit Cards, (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, UPI, SBI challan etc.
3. After submitting your payment online, PLEASE WAIT FOR THE INTIMATION FROM THE SERVER. DO NOT PRESS BACK OR REFRESH BUTTON IN ORDER TO AVOID DOUBLE CHARGE.
4. To ensure the security of your data, please close the browser window once your transaction is complete.
5. There is facility to print application form containing fee details after payment of fee.
6. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
7. Online payments can be made only the last date of submission of online application form.
8. Payments through SBI challan generated on the last day of closure of online application forms can be submitted in the bank till 12.08.2025 (during basking hours only).
