Admission Notification for Integrated Under Graduate Programs – 2025-26

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for Admission into the Six Year Integrated B.Tech Programme in RGUKT AP campuses at Nuzvid, RK Valley (Idupulapaya), Ongole and Srikakulam for the academic year 2025-26. Interested candidates can apply for admission online through university website www.rgukt.in/ AP online center. Candidates can submit their online applications from 10:00 AM on 27-04-2025. RGUKT IIIT UG Admission Notification-2025 How to Apply:

1. Candidates should apply online only through www.rgukt.in/AP online center. Application fee can be paid through online payment gateway or in cash at AP online centers for which the center will issue a receipt.
2. For students who studied in Andhra Pradesh, the application fee is Rs. 300/-. For SC and ST candidates from Andhra Pradesh, the fee is Rs. 200/-. For students from other states, the application fee is Rs. 1000/-
3. Applicants are required to upload soft copies of all relevant special category certificates such as NCC, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Sports, Children of Armed Personnel, and PH–SADAREM certificates while submitting the online application. Please note that submission of any false or invalid certificates may lead to strict action as per the rules.
4. Soft copies of all relevant certificates, such as caste certificate, special category certificate, SSC hall ticket, student photograph, and income certificate (optional at present but must be produced at the time of counseling if selected), should be uploaded while submitting the online application.
5. Sample proformas (Annexures) to obtain relevant certificates for claiming reservations under various special categories are available in the University website www.rgukt.in
6. If any candidate applies more than once, information in the latest application will be considered for the selection process.
7. It is the responsibility of the candidate to enter his/her correct information/details in all respects. RGUKT is not responsible for any wrong entries in online application.

Eligibility for admission RGUKT IIIT UG Courses:

1. Candidates should have passed SSC (10th class) or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Governments of A.P. State / CBSE/ICSE conducted in 2025. Candidates whose results are declared and ready on or before the last day of receiving online applications i.e., 20-05-2025, can apply for admission.
2. Candidates should have studied in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Students from other states are eligible only for the supernumerary seats (25%).
3. International students shall be of Indian Nationality / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.

Rule of Reservation:

The rules of reservation will be followed as per the norms prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh from time to time

RGUKT IIIT UG Admission Selection Method:

The total number of available seats is 4,400, with 1,100 seats allotted per campus, including 10% supernumerary seats for EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) candidates.

Admission for two years PUC and four years B.Tech Program (2025-26) is based on marks obtained in SSC or equivalent examination conducted in 2025 and Guidelines issued by the Governing Council of RGUKT from time to time subject to adding a deprivation score to the students studied in Government schools. In case of students studied in Government Schools, a deprivation score of 4% (4 marks out of 100 for each subject) will be added to the marks scored by the candidates in each subject in SSC/Equivalent examination conducted in 2025. In case of boards declare results in grades, an equivalency factor recommended by the Governing Council of RGUKT will be used to convert grades in to marks. The decision of RGUKT is final in this regard.

In case of any modification in the marks after reverification, the scanned copy of revised marks memo needs to be sent to the admissions@rgukt.in through email on or before 20th May 2025 up to 5.00 p.m. Marks will be updated to those candidates who sends the revised marks copy to the above-mentioned mail on time. RGUKT is not responsible for late submission of revised marks.

1. Details in latest application will be considered in case of multiple online applications received from a same candidate.
2. In case of a tie in the marks, the following procedure will be followed to resolve the tie.
   i. Higher marks in Mathematics
   ii. Higher marks in Science
   iii. Higher marks in English
   iv. Higher marks in Social Studies
   v. Higher marks in 1st Language
   vi. Elder candidate as per the Date of Birth
   vii. Lowest random number obtained from the 10th class hall ticket number.
   If the tie is resolved with any of the checks in the chronological order mentioned above, the next option(s) will not be considered.
3. The rules and guidelines issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh/Governing Council of RGUKT from time to time shall be followed for admissions.
4. Details filled by the candidates in online application will be considered for selection. RGUKT is not responsible for wrong entries.
5. If reservation under BC/SC/ST/EWS is not claimed by the candidate in the online application, he/she will be considered under Open Category for selection. RGUKT is not responsible for not claiming reservation and special categories in online application.
6. Campus will be allotted based on the merit in the SSC/Equivalent examination conducted in 2025 after adding deprivation score as recommended by the Governing Council of RGUKT following rule of reservation. While filling the online application, candidates are advised to enter their preferred campus according to their priority. RGUKT is not responsible for any wrong entry as far as campus preference is concerned.
7. In no case, internal transfer of candidates between the campuses is permitted. Students have to study in the campus where they are admitted.

Intimation to Selected Candidates:

1. The list of provisionally selected candidates for counseling will be displayed on the University website www.rgukt.in.
2. Candidates will also be informed through E-mail and SMS to the mobile numbers and email ids entered in the online application form. RGUKT is not responsible for not reaching the information by E-mail/SMS message due to wrong Email and mobile numbers entered in the online application form.
3. It is the responsibility of the candidate to check the University website www.rgukt.in frequently for his/her selection and relevant updates relating to admissions.

AP RGUKT IIIT UG Admission Counseling for Admission and payment of admission fee

The selected candidates for each campus should bring the following documents at the time of counseling. The proforma for the certificates mentioned below are given in Annexures.
Note: Candidates should bring five photocopy sets of the following documents along with
original documents at the time of Admission Counselling.

1. SSC/Equivalent marks sheet issued by the respective boards.
2. Proof of caste / community certificate (SC/ST/BC) in the prescribed proforma by those claiming reservation under any of these categories.
3. Latest EWS certificate (not earlier to 2024) issued by the competent authority by those claiming reservation under EWS category
4. Latest income certificate issued in the year 2025.
5. Physically Handicapped (PH) certificate in the prescribed proforma by those claiming reservation under this category.
6. Children of Armed Forces (CAP) certificate in the prescribed proforma by those claiming reservation under this category.
7. NCC certificate by those claiming reservation under this category.
8. Sports certificate(s) at the level of inter-state and above by those claiming reservation under this category.
9. Bharat Scouts and Guides with relevant certificates.
10. Every student has to pay an admission fee of Rs.1,000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST candidates), Rs.1200/- towards group insurance (to be paid to the insurance agency by the University) and a refundable caution deposit of Rs.1,000 (by all), and a hostel maintenance charge of Rs.1000/-(by all), that is a total of Rs.4,200/- (Rs 3,700/- in case of SC/ST candidates) at the time of admission.

Tuition Fee and Mess Charges AP RGUKT IIIT’s:

1. The tuition fee for the candidates who studied in Schools situated in Andhra Pradesh is Rs.45, 000/- per annum for PUC program and Rs 50,000/- per annum for B.Tech program.
2. Students who are eligible for reimbursement of tuition fee (RTF) as per the guidelines issued by the Andhra Pradesh State Government will be exempted from tuition fee. (Total family annual income is below Rs.2.5 Lakh and who fulfill the other conditions as per the latest Govt. rules are eligible for fee reimbursement). Incase Government deposits the reimbursement of tuition fee to the student/mother account directly, candidates who get tuition fee reimbursement need to pay the tuition fee to the University within one week from the date of receipt of reimbursement. If the sanctioned scholarship amount is less than the tuition fee, then students need to pay the balance amount to the University.
3. All other students who are not eligible for reimbursement of tuition fee should pay the full annual tuition fee to the University at the time of beginning of each academic year.
4. Students should pay monthly mess charges to the University (approximately Rs.3500 per month). In case of students who receive MTF should also pay the balance amount
   in addition to MTF Amount which is sanctioned.

Admission of students for other States (other than AP) and International Students (As per UGC Notice No. F.No.1-2/2023(IC) dated 26-4-2024):

1. Supernumerary seats to the extent of 25% are available to students belonging to States other than Andhra Pradesh including the children of Indians working in Gulf Countries
   / International and NRI students. Admission will be on the basis of merit in the 10th class examination.
2. Tuition fee for students other than Andhra Pradesh is Rs.1,50,000/- per annum.
3. The tuition fee for International / NRI students is Rs.3, 00,000/- per annum.
4. Students should pay monthly mess charges to the University (approximately Rs.3,500 per month).

Note: University reserves the right to cancel the admission of any student if it is found wrong now or later that he/she secured admission by giving false information of any kind.

Intake of students and Programs/Courses offered by RGUKT:

The intake for each RGUKT campus is 1,000 students, including reservations for special categories. Additionally, 10% supernumerary seats (i.e., 100 seats per campus) are allocated for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates (excluding those from BC, SC, and ST categories).
The 6-year integrated program is divided into the following two stages:

a) Pre-University Course (2 years):

The Pre-University Course (PUC) will be offered in M.P.C. and M.Bi.P.C. streams. The curriculum and examination pattern will align with those followed by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the State of Andhra Pradesh.

v. Telugu
vi. Computer Programming
vii. Biology
viii. Elementary Biology

b) B.Tech Program (4 years):

Engineering branch allocation will be based on merit in the PUC program, following the rule of reservation as per State Government norms. For M.P.C
The following Engineering branches are offered at RGUKT campuses:
i. Chemical Engineering (only at Nuzvid and R.K. Valley)
ii. Civil Engineering
iii. Computer Science and Engineering
iv. Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in AI and ML
v. Electrical and Electronics Engineering
vi. Electronics and Communication Engineering
vii. Mechanical Engineering
viii. Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (only at Nuzvid and R.K. Valley)
