NOTIFICATION FOR ENROLLMENT OF HOME GUARDS (CATEGORY-B)
(TECHNICAL & OTHER TRADES – VOLUNTARY SERVICE)

AP Home Guards Recruitment Notification 2025: The Physical Measurement Tests and Original Certificates Verification for the following eligible candidates will be held from 09-06-2025 (from 06:00 AM to 04:00 PM) at Parade Grounds of 6th Battalion, APSP, Mangalagiri, Guntur District, as per the schedule published in the CID, AP, website: https://cid.appolice.gov.in.

The candidates are directed to attend for the said Physical Measurement Tests and Original Certificates Verification as per schedule mentioned against their names without fail with the following original certificates and documents:

NOTE: In terms of the Notification, the minimum height required for Men is 160 cm and for Women 150 cm (Relaxation of 5 cms in case of STs (women) only). Candidates who do not meet the above standards will be disqualified and will not be allowed to proceed further.

Candidates must bring the following original certificates/ documents for scrutiny.
  1. Original Application Acknowledgement issued by the CID, AP, to the applicants who submitted the applications physically.
  2. Original SSC Certificate (proof of Date of Birth)
  3. Original School Study Certificates (Class IV to X)
  4. Original Intermediate Certificate
  5. Original Graduation and Higher Educational Certificates (if any)
  6. Original Driving License (LMV/HMV)
  7. Original Caste Certificate.
  8. Original Computer Certificate(s) (if any)
  9. Original Technical Qualification Certificate(s) (if any)
  10. Any Other Original Certificates submitted with the application
  11. Two (2) recent passport-size photographs

NOTE: Candidates who fail to produce any of the required original certificates or who do not report at the scheduled date will be disqualified from the enrollment process. No further correspondence will be entertained in this regard. Candidates are also advised to regularly visit the official CID, AP, website for updates and future instructions regarding the recruitment process.

The Crime Investigation Department (CID), Andhra Pradesh Invites applications from eligible male and female candidates for 28 Home Guard Posts (Voluntary Service) (Category-B Technical & Other Trades). These positions are on voluntary service basis, with a duty allowance of ₹710/- per day. Eligible candidates who possess the required educational qualifications and technical skills are encouraged to apply. Eligibility Criteria for AP Home Guards Recruitment:

  • Local Status: Must be a local resident of Andhra Pradesh. (The Definition of Local Candidate is enclosed as Annexure-I of this Notification)
  • Age Limit: Minimum: 18 years as on 01-05-2025, Maximum: 50 years as on 01-05-2025 (Age will be verified as per SSC certificate only)
  • Gender: Both Male and Female candidates are eligible.
  • Educational Qualification: Must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Technical Requirements: Must have good Computer Knowledge (MS Office, Internet, Typing, etc.)
  • Driving License: Must possess a valid Driving License (LMV or HMV).
  • Physical Standards: Height: Men should be 160 cm., Height: Women: 150 cm (Relaxation of 5 cms in case of STs only).
  • Character and Antecedents: Should have satisfactory antecedents; will be verified by the Police Department.
  • Medical Fitness: Must be physically and mentally fit

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preference will be given to candidates possessing: BCA / B.Sc., (Computers) / MCA / B.Tech (Computers) & Other IT-related qualifications.

AP Home Guards Recruitment Notification 2025 Selection Procedure:

The selection will be done in the following stages:

  1. Scrutiny of Applications
    Applications will be screened for eligibility criteria.
  2. Certificate Verification
    All original documents will be verified. Failure to produce required documents will lead to disqualification.
  3. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
    Male: Minimum 160 cm, Female: Minimum 150 cm (ST women: 145 cm)
  4. Skill Test
    Computer Knowledge Test: Proficiency in MS Office, Internet browsing, other computer applications, Typing, Drafting Skills, etc.
    Driving Test: Practical driving test.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

  1. The decision of the DGP, CID, AP, in the selection process is final and binding.
  2. Candidates are advised to ensure eligibility before applying.
  3. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the selection process.
  4. CID reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process at any stage.
  5. This is a voluntary service and does not confer any permanent government job rights.
