A Common Entrance Test, designated as Education Common Entrance Test-2025 (APEdCET-2025) will be conducted online by the CONVENER, APEdCET-2025, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Nagarjuna Nagar, Guntur – 522510 on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for admission into B.Ed. Course and B.Ed. Special Education in the Universities / Government / Aided / Private Colleges of Education in Andhra Pradesh for the Academic Year 2025-2026. ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR FOR APEdCET-2025:
Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for APEdCET-2025.
(i) The Candidates should be Indian Nationals.
(ii) The Candidates should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirements as per the order of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh for the year- 2025-26.
(iii) Educational Qualifications:
Methodology | Eligibility |
Mathematics | Candidates with B.A. / B.Sc. with Mathematics as one of the group subjects and BCA Candidates with Mathematics at Intermediate level as a group subject. |
Physical Sciences | Candidates with B.Sc., who have studied Physics and Chemistry or allied material sciences under Part-II group subjects and BCA candidates with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at Intermediate level as group subjects. |
Biological Sciences | Candidates with B. Sc. / B.Sc. (Home Science) who have studied Botany and Zoology or allied subjects and BCA students with Biological Sciences at Intermediate level as group subject. |
Social Studies | All Candidates with B.A. OR Candidates with B. Com. /B.B.M. /BCA with Social Sciences at Intermediate level as group subject. |
English | Candidates with B.A Special English or M.A. English. |
iv) Candidate should have secured at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree i.e. B.A./B.Sc./ B.Com/B.Sc (Home Science) /BCA/BBM and /or in the Master’s Degree or any other qualification equivalent thereto. However candidates belonging to all other reserved categories should have secured 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
v) The candidates should have completed the age of 19 years on the 1st of July in the year in which notification is issued. There shall be no maximum age limit.
APEdCET-2025 Registration Fee:
- Rs.650/- for OC
- Rs.500/- for BC
- Rs.450/- for SC/ST/PwD
SCHEME OF EXAMINATION FOR APEdCET-2025:
The common entrance test will be of objective type (multiple choices) examination. Candidate has to answer 150 questions in two hours time (i.e., 120 minutes).
Part-A: General English – 25 questions for 25 marks
Part-B:
- General Knowledge – 15 questions for 15 marks
- Teaching Aptitude – 10 questions for 10 marks
Part-C: Methodology: Candidate has to choose one of the following subjects. It consists of 100 questions for 100 marks.
- Mathematics – 100 questions for 100 marks
- Physical Sciences – 100 questions for 100 marks
(i) Physics – 50 questions for 50 marks
(ii) Chemistry – 50 questions for 50 marks - Biological Sciences – 100 questions for 100 marks
(i) Botany – 50 questions for 50 marks
(ii) Zoology – 50 questions for 50 marks - Social Studies – 100 questions for 100 marks
(i) Geography – 35 questions for 35 marks
(ii) History – 30 questions for 30 marks
(iii) Civics – 15 questions for 15 marks
(iv) Economics – 20 questions for 20 marks - English – 100 questions for 100 marks
Note: Part–A and Part-B are common for all the candidates irrespective of Methodology chosen in Part-C.
