Online applications are invited for Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance test through Online (DEECET-2026) for selection of candidates for admission into two year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) offered in Government District institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) and in Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions in the A.P. State during the academic year 2026-2027. Candidates can apply only through online from https://cse.ap.gov.in & https://apdeecet.apcfss.in from 31.03.2026 to 15.04.2026. Detailed notification along with eligibility criteria and guidelines for submission of applications through online may be downloaded from the above website from 31.03.2026 Manual applications will not be accepted in any form. Examination dates will be announced shortly.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE FOR DEECET –2026:

Eligibility Criteria for admission:

The eligibility criteria for admission into D.El.Ed., course shall be as mentioned below:

1. The candidates should be of Indian Nationality and should satisfy the Local / Non Local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of admission) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended from time to time for admission into all seats in Government DIETS and un-aided Non-Minority and Minority Elementary Teacher Training Institutions.
2. Candidates should have secured a rank in DEECET conducted for the Academic Year concerned for admission into Government DIETs and Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions and should satisfy the educational criteria prescribed for the course as shown at (iii) below. For obtaining a DEECET rank, candidate belonging to “OC” and “BC” communities shall secure minimum 50% marks in DEECET. For Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Physically Challenged candidates the minimum qualifying mark for allotment of seats reserved
   under the respective categories will be 45%. That is to say candidates belonging to SC and ST communities should secure 50% of marks for consideration against seats under OC/ NCC / CAP /Sports category.
3. Educational Qualifications:
   For seats in all Government DIETs and Category ‘A’ and ‘B’ seats of Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions
   (a)The candidate should have passed or appeared for the Intermediate Examination (Qualifying Exam) or its equivalent as decided by the DEECET Committee for appearing at the
   DEECET. However, he/she should have passed the qualifying examination at the time of admission.
   (b) The candidates should have secured 50% of marks in aggregate in the Qualifying Examination for appearing in the DEECET for both ‘A’ and ‘B’ category seats. The minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying Examination for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Physically Challenged candidates shall however be 45% for both ‘A’ and ‘B’ category seats. (c) Subject wise allotment of seats for admission into D.El.Ed. course
   1. Mathematics – 25% of seats
   2. Physical Science – 25% of seats
   3. Biological Science – 25% of seats
   4. Social Studies – 25% of seats
4. Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 1 September of the year of admission. There shall be no upper age limit for admission into D.El.Ed course.
5. The minority status of the students shall be decided as mentioned at Rule 2(p) of these Rules. (G.O.Ms.No. 30 School Edn Dated 08.07.2015)

Application Fee:

The fee towards submission of application online and for the conduct of examination is Rs. 1000/- Candidates shall pay the fee through Payment Gateway from 31.03.2026 to 15.04.2026 and submit online application at the DEECET website https://cse.ap.gov.in or https://apdeecet.apcfss.in from 31.03.2026 to 15.04.2026.
